Midnight Madness 2020
Midnight Madness

Midnight Madness is the most ambitious immersive challenge ever created. Think the Crystal Maze meets immersive theatre with London as your stage. It gives you the chance to have the experience of a lifetime whilst helping those that need it the most.

22 May 2021

19:00

The event will start from a secret location in London.

The Event

An immersive challenge in aid of Raise Your Hands

Returning to London for the third time, Midnight Madness is a series of cleverly camouflaged, incredibly ingenious and devilishly difficult puzzles – the answers to which indicate the location of the next puzzle, and so on, until the finish line. Teams will compete all night, hunting for, solving, and executing puzzles embedded in the urban landscape of London. The winning team will be the first to cross the finish line.

2018 - 2020

Iterations of Midnight Madness London were run in 2018 and 2019, you can view the event videos below. The 2020 event was cancelled due to COVID-19.

The Event is based upon its highly successful namesake that took place in New York in 2015 and raised $3.1m for charity.

Both creators of the New York version, Mat Laibowitz and Elisha Wiesel are fully on board with the London 2021 version. We thank them for their advice and guidance.

Easily the best fun I have had in London in the witching hour. Cycling madly across Hyde park to make the final line as the sun was coming up was an exhilarating experience. But opening a nondescript door to find myself immersed in strange sounds and sights, surrounded by odd characters beckoning me into otherworldly vistas, was something that will stay with me forever

Tim Dinsdale, MM18 Team Captain

The only bad bit was coming back to the real world.

The best night of my year.

A truly epic night.

Desperate to play Midnight Madness again!

You’re not just behind a desk; You’re not running some marathon course that everybody else is running; You’re not just sitting at a high society dinner; You’re out in the world being an intellectual athlete.

Elisha Wiesel Chief Information Officer Goldman Sachs

Intellectual marathon!

Crazy experience which I could never have envisaged beforehand and will never forget.

There is an injustice in the charity sector: it is not a meritocracy. The top 1.2% of charities in terms of turnover receive 72% of the money donated in the UK*. You might assume that money would flow to those most in need. Yet there are hundreds of exceptional small charities that struggle for funding simply because they don’t have the resources to reach a wide number of people.

Raise Your Hands has found twelve exceptional small charities working with children across the UK. We conduct due diligence, monitor them and provide predictable, unrestricted income.

RYH charities are specialists in their areas, helping children with HIV, children that have been bullied and children that have lost parents, amongst others. In 2018, over 88,000 young people across the UK accessed the services of the RYH supported charities.
By participating in Midnight Madness, you will support some of the most innovative and necessary work in the UK, enabling incredible organisations to focus on what they do best: improving the lives of disadvantaged children.

Visit the Raise Your Hands website to find out more about what we do.
